Earrings - The earrings are important as the main victim would be seen putting them on later through the film, and earlier through the film the earrings are seen on a table by themselves. This is foreshadowing the later scenes, and is required to set the premises that something had happened to the victim who these earrings belonged to.
Watch - The watch is seen on the main character as he's checking it out in the later scene, and also seen on the earlier scene on a table next to the earrings. This, just like the earrings, is to foreshadow that something had happened to the character the watch belonged to.
Pills - The pills would be placed on a table to which the camera would hover over, so the audience can spot the medicine on the table. This is the main antagonist's medicine, and is required to show his psychological overall state.
Mask - The mask, which is worn by the other antagonist is part of the costume, and at the same time placed somewhere so the audience can see it by itself.
